Celebrities tee off for Central Coast nonprofits at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

The 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am teed off Wednesday as three celebrity-studded events for charity took over The Hay short course.

“I never take this for granted, I really do love this part of the country. I love Monterey, I love Carmel-by-the-Sea, I love Pebble. I love all of it,” said actor Josh Duhamel. “The golf here is second to none and the fans, the volunteers I just love the whole vibe. And especially in weather like this.”

Celebrities like Scott Eastwood, Ray Romano, Alfonso Ribeiro, Wells Adams, and others all took shots during the 3M Celebrity Challenge.

“It’s so fun to get to do this event because I grew up here,” said Wells Adams from Bachelor in Paradise. “I used to play this course as a junior golfer so coming back and doing this has been absolutely insane so much fun.”

Some shots were so close, while others, not so much. But it’s the Central Coast nonprofit organizations that were the real winners. Digital Nest came away with $75,000 and Life Labs came away with $50,000.

“Through the history of this tournament and this weekend in general, they’ve raised over $200 million to charity and that’s just a testament of the power of this tournament and it’s great,” said actor Scott Eastwood.

At the Chevron Challenge, sports stars like Buster Posey, Steve Young, Larry Fitzgerald, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers and Alex Smith were putting to win $250,000 for local charities.
