On Dec. 10, Oklahoma University’s Children’s Hospital Foundation announced on Twitter that the Voice star helped establish the Blake Shelton Cancer Research Program. Shelton dedicated the program to his cousin, Aspen Van Horn, who received treatment for a neuroblastoma tumor when he was a 5-month-old infant at the hospital’s Jimmy Everest Center. Shelton previously donated $600,000 to the Jimmy Everest Center in 2016, while he was playing a concert in Oklahoma City.
